Alex Kurasz
Founder & Academy Director

 Alex Kurasz is a former semi professional player in Germany, currently obtaining his UEFA A license, while also holding a masters degree in Football coaching & sport direction. With his vast playing and learning experiences all over Europe he is responsible for developing and leading the football development methodology being implemented at the academy with our players and academy teams. His goal is to change the footballing landscape here in Canada so that our talented youth can experience a professionally driven program that incorporates all aspects needed for player development in an academy setting.

Calvin Kurup
Academy Development Coach

Coach Calvin has been involved in the game of soccer since he remembers. Starting at grass root levels in Ontario to becoming the captain of his academy team for eight plus years. Eventually Coach Calvin went on to play at some of the highest levels in Canada, including League One Ontario.

Coach Calvin has travelled and played in Europe. He experienced the culture and philosophies of academies such as Ajax, Club Brugge, and FC Köln. His travels in Europe taught him the important pillars in player development. He gained a great understanding of how meticulous top tier player development really is. 

Coach Calvin takes pride in developing top talented players from a grass root level. He is focused on creating strong technical and highly intelligent players. Through the AKZ culture – Coach Calvin looks forward to positively impacting his players on and off the field. 

Daniel Kurasz
Creative Strategy Director

Daniel Kurasz is one of the leading directors at the academy assisting in creating pathways and opportunities for all our talented players within the academy to experience. His goal is to continuously create multiple opportunities for both the academy and the players to grow and reach their full potential whether that be at a collegiate level, or on the professional stage.

Alex Szczotka
Academy Direction & Consultant Manager

Coach Alex is a former professional soccer player in Poland, and a current coach in Canada with over 25 years of coaching experience. He plays an important role in developing the academy strategy plan and fulfilling the academy’s short term and long term goals that help drive success here at the academy on a daily basis.

Reginald Laryea
Academy Development Assistant Coach

Coach Reggie is a former NCAA player who played at Akron university for 3 years. In those 3 years he won the Mac 3 times and went to the college cup final 4 once. He then went on to York university for 1 year, and after his first year at York university he got drafted to Atletico Ottawa in the CPL.

His goals at the academy are to develop top players on and off the field while also being an instrumental figure in mentoring the players throughout their journey. He strives to make the academy a top leading program in the country while also encouraging the players to play attractive confident football through our football philosophy.
